This situation is well known to
ebay and they have a warning page dedicated to it.
They are basically an attempt to get personal data from you.

Browser have anti-phising but a test conducted in 2013 showed some to only be 50-75% effective.
Many now adopt the technology from Netcraft.
It would be wise to look at installing the community based software if you frequent auctions.
