Old Cover - Postmarked 5 Years Apart?

Is it just my imagination or is this postmarked 1940 and 1945?

Since both postmarks are dated December 24, it's most likely a small ink skip on the "5" of the one that looks like 1940, but I see it as 1945.

All postmarks are 1945, the upside down postmark is to its just faded on the 5 at top. That is due to age. I see faded postmarks all the time like this on old covers. Sometimes the year in faded postmarks can be hard to work out, especially on some covers from 1800s.
