Dishonest Ebay Seller - User Id: Michelmersh

I purchased this item #271718452489 on 29 December:


It has not been delivered and I have had no response to tracking requests. Adverse feedback is now appearing for non delivery of other items sold to others at the same time.

Just a warning to you all, the seller name on paypal comes up as Amelia Doherty of Romsey in the UK using the email address casbrookfields@gmail.com

Have you asked for your money back from ebay? That should be your first order of business.

And would you might posting the seller ID or a link to some of his/her items as to protect ourselfs...?

Looks like he just started getting negatives recently. It is unusual for a seller to get three negs in a row from different buyers. My guess is something happened to him- maybe he died suddenly, is hospitalized, and those close to him or his family maybe have no idea he is selling stuff on ebay. I'd persue recourse from ebay.

Of course I will get my money back via paypal, not an issue there, I just wanted to alert any potential buyers from dealing with this person (with whatever ID they use). The title to the thread identifies the username I had dealings with - michelmersh.

Yes, it looks like it might be a medical issue. Though this seller has very little feedback, it was all excellent until recently. A buyer shouldn't be too quick to judge. ebay's refund policy bends over backwards to protect us.

I always check to see if he has listed any items recently, sometimes this shows the seller is indisposed, of course sometimes it shows the seller has continued to list while I continue to wait.

I can smell a thief a long way off. There have been several requests for information before I made this a public issue. Michelmersh and Amelia Doherty of Romsey in the UK using email address casbrookfields@gmail.com are out-and-out crooks.

I have also noticed that someone online that I have recently bought things from and have not yet received anything yet from them has started getting negative feedback on ebay for non delivery. This is a definite alarm bell warning. Many sellers are unaware that paypal has extended its claims period from 45 days (1.5 months) to 180 days (6 months) so that they cannot hide behind late delivery excuses that go over 45 days (1.5 months) anymore. However, post office delays are what makes many things arrive late after they have been sent out.

64idgaf: It's a non-philatelic company that I bought something non-philatelic from their website, but they also have an ebay presence which I checked.

Today I have had funds returned from paypal, a simple and pain-free process. Just remember to avoid Amelia Doherty of Romsey in the UK with the ebay ID of Michelmersh and using the email casbrookfields@gmail.com.

Keep you eye out if buying from new ebay IDs with any corresponding details in their checkout.
