A bit of good news this morning, my blood work indicates that at least one kidney has fired back up and I will not be facing dialysis. They are getting ready to take me down for some more surgery this afternoon and we should have the biopsy back later this evening on the tumor.
The plan is then I get too go home for at least a few days! (Its been 2 weeks in the hospital.) After that I'll be off to either Wake Forest or Chapel Hill for addiiton surgey/treatment.

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I can't tell you how anxious I am to get back home and 'play' with some stamps! I've managed to keep up with some of Stamp Smarter tasks, thank everyone for Their patience.
I also added the new featuure upon request. You can now search all of Stamp Smarter by ebay Item Number. This was requested because we are starting to have people find that they cannot get a good cert on items they have purchased. Please please please try to research item BEFORE you buy and arm yourself with as much information as you can before spending your hard earned money.
Support Stasmp Smarter/APS/ASDA sellers or those whom you have done business with before.

Good news indeed! No doubt a little WD40 and a jump start helped.

Update
I'm alive and survived the surgery at Duke.

It's rough right now, pain is incredible but at least it's better than the alternative. They removed my bladder, prostrate, and some lymph nodes. They cut out a section of my small intestine and fashioned a stoma out of it. The bladder tumor was the size of an orange. The surgeon found no cancer in the margins but the next 6 months to a year will be telling to see if it resurfaces.

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, it means a lot. The Duke University Hospital quality of care was outstanding and I would recommend them to any one for anything.

Hopefully I will be able to resume Stamp Smarter task activities next week.

Wishing you all the best Don. I've been there too and know how difficult a time it can be. Take it slow and play with some stamps...I know it helped me get through some tuff times.

Keep up the good fight Don. I never thought of myself as a cancer survivor (Melanoma), but I guess I am after all. One thing I now do is to donate Platelets as often as I can. In fact, tomorrow is my bi-monthly donation, along with my daughter, whom I convinced to join me. Everyone should consider it, if you can. It takes a couple of hours, but they have great snacks when you're done
