I do not recommend this course of action, as it is pretty much the worst of all worlds, but I can honestly tell you that I would put the card in a postcard sleeve, and attach an Avery label to the sleeve bearing the text "check watermark", and never check it.

In my opinion:

No, if you think about it.

Yes, if you want to throw value down the toilet and destroy some postal history. No matter how low the value is, it will be worth more with the card. Would you cut out the signature from a president on a letter or leave the entire thing intact? Collectors did this in the early part of the century...
