That's a nice and interesting card. It puzzles me why the sender (Gusto Copello?) affixed a stamp on the picture side when it was sufficient space next to the 5 centimos. Still I think it makes is more attractive.

I think he was spicing up his exchange with the gentleman from Kobe as he mentions sending stamps to his friend as well as city views.

It was pretty common to attach stamps to the picture side of the postcard, perhaps so that they could still be visible when the postcard was mounted in an album. I am surprised that both stamps are not on the picture side!

These days, I think, postal regulations would not generally allow that.

These days, I think, the automated facer-canceller equipment could not care less, and will find any stamp, anywhere.

Unless, of course, the OCR module of the automated facer-canceller equipment finds the address, first ;)

Stampfan9 - yepp, I did read the text on the card and wondering what kind of relationship the two gentlemen shared, suspecting they were 'exchange-friends' - as you are saying. Not too many of those around anymore I would presume?
