Princess Diana had her own ethereal charm and beauty and is sorely missed by all.

I have been avoiding the Royals stamps so far but today this postcard with a similar photo used for the postage paid indicia (phosphor tagging on right side only) caught my eye.

Beautiful bride with an inner beauty of her own in a beautiful photo.
Before the wedding known as Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
After the wedding known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William still being a Prince.

The dress is on display now at Buckingham Palace in London during the annual summer opening (July 23 - October 3, 2011).

I don't want to be petty James, but just for the record Schneider was Austrian and Garbo was Swedish.

I remember reading about the controversy regarding the Hepburn stamp
and about the recent sale of the copies owned by her son.

How did he obtain copies since he refused the Bundespost permission to use his mother's image on a stamp
because of the cigarette holder in her mouth ?

I would imagine that they were sent to him for his approval...which he did not give, but I guess he kept the copies.
