Hello All,
Can any of the classic collectors point me to a reference or source for determining the individual plate characteristics for the 1852 Netherlands issue. I acquired a small accumulation of these issues that I would like to sort by plate.
Thank you,
seafarer

A set of seventeen books was issued back in the 1970's, written by GC van Balen Blanken and Bert Buurman. Each of the books show the enlarged pictures of the actual stamps plus drawings of all the plate characteristics.
The title of every book is "Nederland 1852", followed by the stamp value ( 5, 10 and 15 cent ) and the plate.
The set is quite expensive, but the APS may have it available for loan?

Peter

Thank you, Peter, for the information on the books. Think I will look into the loan approach on the 5 cent issue.
Kind regards,
seafarer
