I may be suffering from catalog blindness. For the life of me I can't find this stamp in Scott.

The stamp reads: "Hundred years Journal of Czech Physicians. One hundred years of Czech doctors in Prague 1862 - 1962."

Any help on the Scott number would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Dan

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.

Dan. I can not help with the Scott number, but it was issued on 26 February 1962 as part of a cultural series. The rest of the set has a bunch of scientists depicted; yours is the only stamp that has no person depicted on it!

Peter,

Thank you!
That would make it a Scott 1101. "View of Prague and the staff of Aesculapius"

From the picture in Scott, it sure doesn't look like it fits that set!

Which is a common problem with Scott when compared to lets say
Michel where an image of every stamp in a set is pictured.

I find that locating any particular stamp in Scott is sometimes difficult especially if there is no indication of year
on the stamp.

It is correct, Scott number 1101 for Czechoslovakia, from the set of #1097-1103, and in Michel it have number 1321-1327.

lithograving, the thing that makes it difficult to use Scott is that the stamps in the same set can have a completely different appearance, while only one stamp from the set may be pictured. This means you can't identify a great many stamps by looking for a picture.
