I was just looking at an email from Amos Advantage offering "pre-orders" on the 2016 Scott Catalog (Vol. 1) at a retail price of $124.99 or AA price of $94.99 ... a $5 increase from the 2015 edition.

Curiously, the pre-order announcement contains some conflicting information. The e-mail suggests that there are nearly 1000 value changes in the US Section, whereas the individual listing suggests that there are more than 1000 value changes in the US Section, adding that a large number of value changes are for recent nondenominated forever stamps which have been adjusted upward in mint, never-hinged condition.

It sounds like most of the value changes involve modern issues with minimal value changes in stamps from the classic era.

I just finally purchased a full set of 2014 catalogues. I'm a little behind the times ...

Great news on the 2016's. I'll probably be upgrading my current 2012 edition of Volume 1...to the 2015 version after that comes down in price and/or used copies hit the market. I can't see myself ever buying a brand-new print version, although I'd subscribe to an online catalog/databse if Scott were to ever have that option (oh, no, not that topic again!).

I hope they got their act together with the digital catalog finally. I'm done with paper catalogs at this point.

I won't say that I'll never buy another six-volume paper set, but I probably won't.

The Classic, however, I'll continue to buy as long as a paper copy is printed. Same with the Gibbons Commonwealth.

I'm still using an '07 set.

Thinking about upgrading, but probably won't just yet. We'll see.

Most of my catalogs are Michel and Stanley Gibbons. When I need Scott, I buy the country sections from 'chirokmd'. All the money I would be spending on 1000's of pages I'd never look at can now be spent on stamps.

Same here. I then scan them in and OCR them for use on my tablet. I bought the 2015 US Section from ScottOnline and it had no offline access and no pinch and zoom. I'm never making that mistake again. They promised offline access in the 2016 release, and it looks like we're not getting it. So, I give up on Scott's digital offerings.
