This is becoming a battle of the #45s...

Here's two recent acquisitions that added some new colour to my Jubilee collection. The 50c "powder blue" variety and the $1 lake...

Not perfect, but attractive none the less..

Gilles le timbre, that is a nice Beaver variety. I thought your copy looked familiar. So I checked my site and sure enough you must have purchased this from Metari Stamps since I have the same copy featured at FlySpecker.com. It is a beauty.

For those who visit my site, you will be pleased to know that I have made a great deal of new additions over the last month or so including a lovely imprint copy of the rare 5-cent Small Queen "Feather in Hair" variety (Sc#38iv) that shows for the first time the plate position of this previously unplated variety. I will be adding a "What's New" blog post later this week to list all the new additions on the site.

My thanks to several members of this forum who have supplied me with some lovely varieties to go on the site. I was recently provided with a large quantity of scans of modern varieties that I will be uploading soon. So for those of you who have been looking for more modern material on the site, stay tuned.

As a VFNH mint collector, I do not have a great deal of used stamps. However, the Victorian era is a little too expensive for my budget in mint so I do have some decent used examples. My favourite would be a nice #18 12 1/2 cent green major re-entry that I have posted here before.

Below is a nice CDS of #46. I cannot make out the date and the colour is a strange light orange shade, but I got this in one of those card packets of stamps that department stores used to sell in the 1970's for about $2. The other is a #37 in some kind of copper red or oxidized shade. I always liked how this stamp had a very prominent cancel but it did not detract from the design of the stamp.

Here is another well known re-entry on the 5c beaver. Just recently acquired from Vance Auction. While not very well centered, a shift to the right is, to some, preferred, as it shows the left re-entry very well

Here is what Boggs called "The Most Remarkable Variety of Canadian Stamps" --- the 5 cent re-entry on the 6 cent stamp (Scott #43c).

I like these flag cancels. I know there are over 30 different ones, but I don't know much about this one. Any help?
