I just receive this beauty from a recent auction (VF, Hinged with Original gum). I have been looking for a good copy for the last 15 years, so one more bucket list completed. I did notice it has 3 dots just right of the Dollars and I wonder if this is constant on all stamps or a printing flaw?

Probably not constant, at least not listed by Robson Lowe in his list of constant varieties for this issue. Lovely stamp. The Queen herself selected the portraits (left, from Chalon, 1837, right from Von Angeli, 1886). Engraver probably John Guilfoyle.

Gilles, That is definitely a beauty ! Good one. Those dots don't look like an ink error but hard to say what it is. It doesn't look like a re-entry. I would look for other tiny marks in other parts of the stamp design.
