Another Cartel "Package" Sale

I found an interesting new ebay listing by one of the "cartel" members. Unfortunately, I can't post the actual link until I have 50 posts but here is the listing you can search on "US 1898 NH Trans Mississippi Stock thru $2 #293 Cat $13,600". The Trans Mississippi set has been packaged and "sold" often by these dealers. This time it is described as "Old time dealer stock with various imprint examples. Pristine, Post Office condition, priced up on show cards. Ideal for upgrading or onward sale. Excellent potential. Cat minimum $13,600."

Some interesting notes on the individual stamps offered:

285 - 1¢ has been "sold" by the same dealers as a single lot before.
286 - 2¢ Imprint pair was included in a set that supposedly sold last month, described as "Beautiful lot of Trans Mississippi issues displayed on a single page.
Includes some exceptionally nice examples, all having been purchased from the well-known dealer, Herman Herst.
Offered for the first time in several decades." And offered again a month later.
289 - 8¢ Imprint single has been "sold" by the same dealers as a single lot before.
290 - 10¢ Imprint pair often offered as a Buy it Now or auction lot by different dealers, easily identified by the ink smudge on the plate number single.
291 - 50¢, this one really stands out. This stamp was sold by another dealer (top stamp in photos) not involved in the cartel about a month ago as hinged and the picture in that posting clearly shows it. Now it shows up as NH with pinkish solid gum (see photo comparison). What's strange is the photos are exactly the same in orientation, they overlay perfectly, I thought the stamp was quickly regummed at first but now think it may just be a photoshop job using the original photo. Interesting that the 4¢, 50¢ and $2 all have the same gum tint.
292 - The $1 is a plate # single that has been sold as a single lot before only now the selvage has been trimmed down. There is a distinctive black mark just right of the "606" that helps match it to earlier sales.
293 - $2 Has been "sold" by the same dealers as a single lot.

They also did a quite a presentation, using old dealer cards with typed on catalog numbers and pricing from about 50 years ago. One could say they were originally acquired this way but the 2¢ pair was listed and sold as from another old time dealer, hidden for decades, and the 50¢ was clearly just purchased on ebay.
