I collect Iceland stamps, but don't usually collect covers. However, I couldn't resist this one from the Graf Zeppelin flight to Iceland in July 1931, made shortly after the celebrated Polar flight. It is nice to put these stamps in context. I forgot to make a scan of the reverse, which has Friedrichshafen receiving cachet. Unfortunately, I'm now 2,000 km away from my scanner.

Interestingly, the Sieger, Michel and Frost zeppelin catalogs do not list a price for this cover (with franking of all three Iceland zeppelin stamps). Each of the catalogs lists the 30 Aur and 1 Krone together and the 30 Aur and 2 Kronen together, but no listing for the complete set.

In any event, I give it !

The catalogs omit the combination of the three since that wasn't a valid rate at the time.

Postcard - 1 Kr
Registered Postcard - 1 Kr + 30 Aur
Letter - 2 Kr
Registered Letter - 2 Kr + 30 Aur

I saw that in the Michel listing, but for the 1931 Polar Flight (as an example) prices are quoted for complete sets of the German Empire and/or Russian zeppelin stamps (depending on the catalog) even though there was no valid rate for using all of the stamps of a particular set on cover.
