I just wanted to let the Stamp Community Forum know about the new website I have launched at www.FlySpecker.com. I have been working on this site for months and I launched it live last Friday before heading off to ORAPEX over the weekend.

The site is dedicated to Canadian constant plate varieties. It features some background information in the "Constant Plate Varieties 101" section but the meat of the site is the "Stamp Listings" section where I have a great visual reference for many of Canada's most famous CPVs. I have worked with a few other collectors and dealers to provide many scans of the varieties that are "zoomable" so that the varieties can be seen up close.

There is some very attractive and very rare material on the site that is not often available as an identification reference. I include all sorts of CPVs including re-entries. The site is not meant to replace Ralph Trimble's specialised re-entry website since I include mostly the major re-entries that are of interest to the general collector and provide links to Ralph's site for more information.

I plan to update the site on a weekly or monthly basis, so keep looking for new material in the Stamp Listings section if the CPV you are interested in is not yet included. I welcome submission of high resolution scans from all collectors for inclusion on the website and am glad to credit anyone for their material or leave it anonymous if this is preferred.

So I invite you all to take a look and let me know what you think. There is a blog section on the site where you can add comments and my email is provided on the "Contact" page.

I hope you like it. Happy FlySpecking!

Congratulations! Very nicely done. Easy to read and navigate. I looked at it both on computer and tablet. I find the zoom feature a good touch.

I doubt it. In fact, he may become one of the bigger contributors to that site.

Excellent job! I also love the magnifier. Keep up the good work.

Scott...Are you excepting any regular flyspecking material for your site and/or non constant plate varieties..??

Do you have a specific list of material/information that would be helpful to grow your site..?

Hey wert, I am just looking for constant plate varieties for now. I do have a partial want list at http://flyspecker.com/wanted.html.

If you have anything else that is catalogued, plated, or well documented, I would be glad to see it.

I just wanted to let everyone know that FlySpecker.com has had some significant updates since its launch 3 weeks ago. In addition to adding a couple of blog posts and some updates to images and text throughout the site, there have been a number of new varieties and new pages added to the site.

Highlights include some major re-entries plus some interesting information on the #35 One Cent Yellow Small Queen "Strand of Hair" variety and the #89 One Cent Green Edward VII issue showing an example of hairlines.

To see what is new on the site, complete with links to the new content, click the Blog link in the main menu and look for the May 18, 2015: What's New at FlySpecker post.

Have fun looking around and notice that I am still looking for someone to make the first comment on a blog post.

I will be adding some really interesting information on a series of cracked plate positions for the #30 Fifteen Cent Grey Large Queen issue later this week.
