I collect Austro-Hungarian postmarks of Czech territories as well as Czech postmarks. I am arranging my collection by cities, towns and villages attempting to show a progressive history of "Czech" postmarks from earliest times to the formation of the nation of Czechoslovakia (Oct 1918) and up until 1920. An impossible task never to be completed, but I am learning so much about history, culture and geography, to name a few perks, and also having fun. here is a post showing a few postmarks fron Testchen,Austrian-Hungary empire( now Decin CZ) - Corrected page -

Just a bit of a nit to pick... The top one is dated 1878, yet some of the text says 79. :) |

My bad billsey! Thank you for noticing. I do my design work on power point so typo's are easy to correct. Thanks also to Philatarium and DC Stamps for comments and encouragement. |

Just finished another album page. Austrian empire stampless letter, used in Czech territory. And (surprise!) I didn't know there was a postmark on the reverse when I ordered it! |

In my personal and professional life I am obsessed with musical instruments. One of my stamp collecting pursuits is collecting postmarks from Graslitz (Kraslice) as there is a history of producing musical instruments in that town. Do you have anything from here you could post?

I usually would not buy badly stained postal cards, but.....I really liked the Hotel Welzel advertising cachet and the correspondence on reverse is in English..so here goes |

Here's my latest page.I wanted to show both the letter and the business form but there was not enough contrast between the two. I cut some archival black card stock and attached the letter to it with corner mounts to make the letter stand out more from the background. double face archival tape attached the black card stock to the page. |
