Collecting early Austrian postmarks (till 1918)means you have to deal with at least 10 now existing countries (if you exclude foreign offices & military post - Bosnia&Herzegovina, Turkey, Israel etc.): Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia - I hope I did not forget any
I found no separate thread for Austrian postmarks in (modern) Ukraine.
Some postmarks and the historical names of the regions can be found here:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/P...28Kingdom.29

Now let see what Austrian stamps used in Ukraine the SCF has. Here are some I have:

Storozynetz - Storozhynets , historic region: (northern) Bukovina.

Bravo Wadmalatz! Thanks for the graphics and the history lessons. Who knows, some time in the future the SCF could be a great resource for Austro-Hungarian philately.
