Ron, I'm not a China expert, so consider the source, but it looks like this stamp _is_ listed in the Scott catalog. It looks like it could be either E9 or E10, with respective used values of $100 or $50 (Scott Classic 2015).
The China Stamp Society Specialized Catalog of China (2012) lists 2 types as well, but also lists some variations within that. The two main listings provide a catalog value (presumably more realistic, but also a couple of years older, in a fast-changing China market) of $10 or $20 respectively, ignoring the variations.
So, I think it's definitely worth holding on to.
