While the circle of wedges cancel probably isn't all that scarce out of Trenton ? NJ, I wouldn't think it lasted all that long either. I can't make out the year, but seem like the 1890's, and Trenton would have begun using machine cancels soon. But the two postmarks are interesting.
I have a small collection of postal history, concentration on two sparcely populated California counties. My main information on the postmarks of these counties comes from the two volume
California Town Postmarks 1849-1935 by
John H. Williams. I notice that in all of Calif.'s 58 counties, postmarks of the style of the two on your cover are not generally common.
