Hi all,
Does anyone have any knowledge of these carriage labels?
We have four sheetlets of carriage labels as follows:-
Sheetlet of 10 $1 denomination illustrating an aircraft and a patient being taken to/from the aircraft.
Sheetlet of 10 $5 denomination illustrating an aircraft and a patient being transferred onto a utility vehicle.
Both of the above are inscribed "Only valid for carriage by ROYAL FLYING DOCTOR SERVICE."
They were printed by Cambec Press Pty Ltd for Royal Flying Doctor service of Australia.
Sheetlet of 10 labels, five $2.50 denomination and five $7.50 divided by a centre gutter of five labels with no denomination.
The strip of five $7.50 values have an added block in the top corner showing a red cross with text "Australian Red Cross + $2.50.
Sheetlet of 10 labels, five $2.50 denomination and five $7.50 divided by a centre gutter of five labels with no denomination.
Both of the above were inscribed "1997 Only valid for carriage by ROYAL FLYING DOCTOR SERVICE OF AUSTRALIA"
They were printed by Distinctive Graphic Imaging and Security Printing Inc.
We have done a google search for these but apart from the RFDS website can find no information.
We have e-mailed the RFDS asking for information but whilst we are awaiting a reply, we thought we would ask on the forum.
Has anyone seen any of these labels used?
Would these labels be used for freight or other services.
Does the RFDS still use these labels or have they been replaced/withdrawn?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Eunice and Ron
