Bobgggg sent me an envelope stuffed with Italian Colonies..i guess that means I am indentured to him for life...i think some of them are among the most beautiful stamps ever..thanks Bob, they will keep me busy for a while and they are the type and era that I do seriously collect !!
Its proving true..i wish I had learned it years ago..if you are in a hurry to buy an item you are going to pay 50 to 80 percent of catalog..or you can be patient..there are a lot of folks..widows, relatives etc..who just do not want the stuff around..i have seen it..they do not care that its worth something..take the boxes away !
I agree with you philb! I am curious what my stamps are worth, but most of what I have is not rare in the catalouge- but I sure enjoy it! That is why we collect, right?
