I thought the Bank of America might have bought Baja! Now I see it's "B. CFA." Hahaha!

Mexican acronym: B = Baja, CF = California, A= Alta, Atla means Upper!

warre, I don't think that's the case here. Baja California Alta would mean Lower California Upper (or, I guess, Upper Lower California.)

Alta California referred to what is now part of the American State of California (and parts east.) The territory was also called New California.
