KeVII With Hairlines And Possible Re-Entry?

I have two 1c KEVIIs on the same postcard. Both seem to display 'hairlines' and one seems to have a line possibly indicative of a re-entry. What do people think? Are the hairlines representative of Unitrade 89iv varieties? What about the line thru the box of the left 1?

I think this is the Hairlines variety. No doubter. The vertical line thru the numeral box looks like a Guideline to me.

What is a guideline? Why would it show up on the stamp? I noticed afterwards that stamp #2 also faintly showed the same line, but it didn't show up on another 1c KEVII I looked at.

Yep, that one line through the numeral is a guideline. A guideline is what is used to put the stamp in the correct position on the plate. Guidelines are used together with guide dots, and are supposed to be etched out after the final plate is completed. In some cases this did not happen very well.
