One alternative to Ronsonol if it gets hard to find is VM&P Naptha which appears to be what Ronsonol is basically. Home Depot & Lowes carry it, or did. A quart can of it was around $7 a couple years ago. YMMV...

My opinion is that Ronsonol quality control can vary; I assume that as a lighter fluid no one really care much about it but it bothers me when I am pouring it over a stamp I care about. I check each container (the ones I get are plastic) by shaking the jar, pouring some in a white plastic container, and then letting it evaporate. I look closely at the bottom of the white container and with some bottles I find detritus of some unknown type.

For those having trouble seeing the "S", reduce the magnification on your screen (make the image smaller).
