Hi guys. I was going through some various stamps and spotted this on the back of one of them.. Is this just the imprint of another stamp that may have been behind it.. or is it a stamp that has been partially printed on both sides. All opinions welcome. I know nothing about these stamps unfortunately but this impression stood out at me, demanding to be noticed :)
Hi revenuecollector. Can you explain how you mean that. Ink offset/transfered from another stamp? That is what I presume it to be. I don't even know if there is a double side printed version of this stamp.
It is not double printed. After the sheet was printed and still wet another sheet was put on top, and then another and so on. With the ink still wet it left an impression in the back of the next sheet!
