My friends I was looking on ebay and found a ultra voilte light that suppose to detect water marks , my question is are these lights better than liquid water mark dectectors Thanks for any info
Welcome to the Forum ratman! While UV light may not be useful for detecting watermarks, it is an essential tool of philately. In addition to tagging varieties, UV light can identify paper and ink types. Also, "cleaned" cancels and repairs will show up under UV light...as they do in watermark fluid.
