I don't have any in Used condition but I have seen some Very Nice blocks of the high values with the violet Winnipeg postmarks at auctions. They definitely go for a high price. I have some blocks and half sheets of the smaller denominations. But they are all Mint. I have more Used singles with nice SON's. I will post when I have more time. I have this block scanned. |

So I guess you wouldn't subscribe to my theory then.. :P
And actually, on the $3-$5 values, I find regular CDS cancels much harder to find than the magentas... |

Not the best scans, but you get the idea. Trying to avoid the roller cancels and the Winnipeg magenta cancels. Also trying to find well centered. This is what I've accumulated so far: (edited to replace scans with better ones) |

The jubes are a wonderful issue to show complete cancels. Though the colours are pretty, I have never taken to them. I only have one to share, but you have to look beyond the roller cancel to appreciate it. |

The Jubilee issues are among my favorites also. I just noticed, subsequent to reading Geoffha's post, that the recently concluded Somerset auction of Dec 5th included Jubilees (among other stamps) to the $2 range. The lot, 432, didn't sell. |

I couldn't get the image optimizer to work but here is a cool cover I bought. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/361443601689...RK:MEBIDX:ITThe Baird Company became Newhnaman and Slipps Pharmacy, oldest pharmacy in New Brunswick. I imagine this envelope was used for the jubilee and the had some left over. Judging by the Woodstock cancel mark I can safely say this wasn't monkey-ed around with. |

Thanks, Darth. All I'm missing now is the $3 Yellow, which I find the hardest of the bunch to come by... Maybe I'll pinch that beauty belonging to chipg when he's not looking... =P The centering is acceptable, not perfect, but otherwise I can't find fault. I like the SON cancel. And I think I scored a stellar deal from ebay. Any guesses on the sticker price? |
