It would take me days to sort through all that, but don't be discouraged! You can do it!
I think Mystic Stamp has a good reputation, so most all those stamps in the 'see-through' envelopes can be set aside with confidence, assuming that these stamps have not been shuffled about.
As to where to start, I wonder. Are most of the stamps from the U.S.? |

KGB, I do not know where Mystic is coming in to play, but I see one 2 cent stamp by itself in an envelope marked 50 diff. US commems. That does not sound like it is very trustworthy to me! The Mystic envelope says 10x10 on it, but contains a coil strip. Everything seems to have been handled and the envelopes don't give a clue. But it looks like a very nice beginners collection!

Yes, Peter, if the stamps were not shuffled about I could see setting them aside for the moment. I'm assuming the most of the envelopes come from Mystic, but I could always be wrong in this.

The stamps in the glassine envelops probably have nothing to do with any envelop printing. The original collector most likely just reused the envelopes (like I very often do just to help sort/store stamps of interest to me). The only significance of the stamps being in the glassine envelopes belong to the person who put them there.
From the available images, the stamps appear to be mostly low value common stamps. They would be a nice start for a stamp collecting hobby. |
