Canada Post did not pre-announce it's September 9th issuance of a ten stamp booklet commemorating Her Majesty's "A Historic Reign". |

I'll be glad when she ceases to be queen, just so we can finally draw a line under the Machin series, and decide on what a complete collection would look like, at various levels of specialisation. Until that day, they are mind-boggling! |

Ringo---Maybe you meant that in a humorous way, but that is an absolutely terrible thing to say. |

Its a fantastic series that just keeps coming and peeks the interest of many a collector. Additionally they are a dazzling treat for the eye when placed on a page. Regards, Stampalotapus |

No, I meant it seriously. No interest in her sitting on the throne now or ever, but would like to get a grip on the seemingly never-ending stamp series, which I collect. I predict legions of GB collectors will stop at the end of her reign, whenever that it - issues got way out of hand many years ago. |

Before the question arises from oddity-hunters, congrats to Canada Post for labeling the new stamp "A Historic Rein", by not using "an historic". As for releasing the new stamp with little advance notice, that was not CP arrogance or a mistake, it was probably planned....just like the Hoo Doo stamp planning. |

After reading Ringo's post, a question popped into my head... Is Queen Elisabeth's image the most reproduced in philately? In other words, does she hold the record for the most stamps issued with her image on them? Don |

Quote: Grace Kelly, Va Va Va Voom. Do you remember her first scene in Rear Window when she leans over James Stewart and we see her from his vantage point and the screen is filled with that beautiful face? Ahhhhhhhhh. Terry |
