I located this very handy guide on the Stamporama website. Very useful as the early Newfoundland issues have several very dangerous fakes out there. Spiro, Oneglia, Fournier. The characteristics of genuine examples are juxtaposed to the forgeries.

This site has been around for many years and I use it for detecting Newfoundland and Canada Province forgeries. It shows each difference in super detail.

Those pages are part of the complete Worldwide Forgeries site created by Mr. Claghorn years ago and include the other provinces as well as the Worl.
