Very poor/inept presentation by the seller, with blurry images and lackluster material...out of what looks to be a large worldwide collection. This was not done by a person with a knowledge of stamps.
Perhaps the seller is charged with disposing of a deceased family member's collection.
Bottom line...I agree with warrehouse. |

a lot of things on ebay are way overpriced and we all know how whenever a non stamp person gets a hold of a collection they think its worth way more than it is. |

The catch phrases always bring a smile. "Hidden treasure" and "what lurks within?" are two of my favorites. |

Another junk collection found in a garage sale by some clueless nitwit knowing nothing about stamps and.. with zero feedback.
It does no good to try to explain to someone like this that they are being unrealistic. I noted a similar lot last year, an old International album with packet type junk. That seller was asking $5,000. I sent him what I thought was a friendly note on it and he exploded back at me- very scornful of stamp collectors. It was clear he wasn't one himself. He told me that he'd spent weeks using a Scott catalog from the library adding up the 'value' of them and that this was what they were worth (!) I backed off and watched as he relisted and relisted and it finally dawned on him he'd wasted his time.
Eventually he will sell it for what it is really worth or toss it. my money is on the later. |

People can try to sell items for whatever they want. I've found that for me it is pointless and a waste of time to try and convince them other wise and it usually results in a lose lose situation. |
