Have tried repeatedly over last four or five years to use the website to order Scott Mounts, impossibly slow, one order last year simply disappeared-'lost' in their system. In addition, there is no higher order organization of the mounts, so you have to page through LOTS of pages to get to a given mount size, no organization at all to it, just a list.
So.... on to the 800 number and wait.
(That said, the folks I speak with on the phone seem always very pleasant).

Sad thing is, Amos in the last couple years came out with a 'new' website, yet from what I can tell, squandered the money they did invest on a poor product.

Makes one wonder if they see their future in something other than supporting hobbies.

Anybody know if they are privately held or publicly held, from an ownership standpoint?

Interesting, Rogdcam, thanks for that.

Perhaps my statement about 'supporting hobbies' was a bit harsh. However, it seems unnecessarily frustrating comparing the interaction with the Amos website and so many others of the same ilk. Hope Amos can come up with the cost effective tweaks that improve speed and organization.

I personally found the old site easier to use and more straight forward than the mess they have now.

I was told today they are constantly doing upgrades and fixes. Could have fooled me.

Another example of IT not testing properly or taking the time to have the new on line with the old until the new worked properly. Just get rid of the old, install the new and any problems, oh well.

Maybe lightly OT, but has anyone else noticed they look to have changed the paper stock for the Specialty pages? I bought a couple more sections for an existing album and the paper tone does not match what I have. Their pages now look yellow.

I placed a few orders with Amos, one via phone call and one online via the new website, just before the holidays and received them rather quickly. The Austria and Vatican City specialized pages that I received seemed to perfectly match my other Scott pages in color.
Maybe I was just fortunate!
