It should include all phases of the stamp process including selling, preparing material for shipping, cataloging, stamp shopping, and this forum. I spend one hour per day.

It probably averages to an hour a day, maybe a little more. Some days I don't even look at a stamp, except the ones I put on bills to mail out. Yesterday I had four hours, which was excellent (and made up for the rest of the day, which was by and large pretty stupid), but my schedule precludes many opportunities like that.

Far too many hours of enjoyment for far too many years.

Too much time, but it varies from day to day. I spend more time online reading and researching than I do actually mounting stamps which I am constantly falling behind.

I try to organize and mount at least 1 stamp or cover per day. Unfortunately, I don't always accomplish that.

Overall, it's a major stress outlet for a high pressure occupation.

That's a tough one to average. When I am home and things need doing I can spend 10-12 hours in one stretch. When I am away at work it can be as little as 20 minutes a day, just dipping into auction sites and doing some research. When the weather is nice and I am home and in the mood it can be zero hours in a week because I'll be up in the mountains somewhere :-)

8-10 hours a day every day is not unusual. Since I retired and have less to do around the house, it's easier to get wrapped up in this hobby. Amazing after 50+ years, I still have lots to do every day. Constantly cataloging and organizing is a major part of the day while processing orders is another. I'm fortunate I really enjoy the time. I should add I have a very nice wife who allows me all the time I want at it! She's even begun to go to club meetings along with my mother in law who is also a collector. It's surely a family affair in our house.

Depends on what else is happening in my life, but probably a couple hours a day on average. If I happen to have a lot of spare time, that average can increase to 3-4 hours, or it can drop down to 0-30 minutes if I'm really busy with other things.

Not nearly as much time as I would like. Working retail 45-50 hrs/week, plus other hobbies (checking new music to use when I DJ online, playing or modding computer games), reading new history books I acquire and general surfing the internet all make demands on my free time that I don't spend with my partner of 21 years (although thankfully by this point though we both have learned that we need our -personal space- to do things that interest one of us if not the other. He goes into a Netflix timehole, I work on my stamps. It's really quite a perfect modus vivendi. )

Probably 90 minutes a day, the great majority of which is dedicated to finding new stamps to buy.

On second thought maybe I do spend more time than the hour I said. I do pretty much look at SCF daily.

Do they have a 12 step program for stamps

1. Admitted we were powerless over our collecting habits, our wives had become unmanageable
2. Came to believe that a power greater than ebay could restore us to sanity
3. Made a decision to turn our want lists and our checkbooks over to the care of dealers selling at a steep discount
4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of our collections
5. Admitted to another collector which of our stamps are faulty
6. Were entirely ready to remove these faulty stamps from our collections
7. Humbly asked God to remove these faulty items
8. Made a list of all stamps we had damaged and became willing to repair them all.
9. Made direct repairs to all such stamps except when to do so would defraud others.
10. Continued to take inventory and when we found faulty stamps, promptly removed them
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with the Stamp Gods as we understand them.
12. Carried this message to other collectors and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

As I have a toddler in the house, not as much I would like to. A few nights a week I sit down for an hour or two to catalog and organize my piles after the monster goes to bed.
