Supplements Getting Later And Later?

When I first started collecting stamps, my parents would buy me the new White Ace supplement for my album every year in April. Now, it is the end of October, and I am still waiting for the supplement to be available. Why? It should be faster now to design the pages. By the time the pages come out, it is too late to buy any stamps that I am missing from the philatelic service (sometimes the album wants different format then I have).
