Browsing through a box of covers I found a couple covers with what look like booklet pairs. Are these common to find ? Are they valued on cover in any catalogs ?

depends on what stamp it is, if its real rare off the cover its even better on but if its common then it still is

The one you show is fairly common, the two one cent stamps totaled the current letter rate of two cents. I don't have my Specialized handy, but I expect there are on cover prices for at least the base (498?) stamp. I wouldn't expect the value for a booklet pair (or single) would be much different than for the base stamp, unless the booklets themselves are rare.
