Unitrade 2016 Catalog Is Shipping

I placed a pre-order with a dealer to get a copy of the 2016 Unitrade Canada Specialized catalog, and received email today that the catalog would be shipping over the weekend, after a longer than expected delay with the printers.

Apparently quantities remaining with Unitrade after pre-orders are VERY low for the 2016s, and they expect it will be sold out well before the end of the year. So if you collect Canada and are planning to get a 2016 copy of Unitrade, you may wish to do it ASAP before it goes out of print like it did for the 2015 edition.

Unitrade informed you of this?

litho - no this is what the dealer was telling me that he had been told by unitrade. I had already purchased the catalog so the dealer had no incentive to try and get me to buy it -now or never- so my guess is that his discussions with the publisher are accurate.

But in the end it is just the word of a dealer, not direct from the publisher. But given what happened with the 2015 Catalog going out of print rapidly, and the extended delay this year, I'd not be surprised if the 2016 does go out of print quite rapidly.

I don't know about the 2015s but in previous years
the current catalogues where available at discount
even right up to the time the new ones came out.

Maybe they printed too many before and are now
cutting back on the quantities printed.

Anyway it's an excellent catalogue and worth every
penny nickel.

Saskatoon Stamp still has a few new 2015 Unitrade Canada catalogues left and available which they are selling at a discount.

Sorry the scans not the best, the pages are just slightly larger than the bed of my scanner, and then the ring binding added additional complications.... :oops:

The Unitrade really is simply the Gold standard for what a specialized catalog can be for collectors of a specific nation or topical or theme.

I have heard that they still have many 2011 Canada stamp catalogues left over.

Undoubtedly, Unitrade will have copious copies at the show in January. I'll get mine then.
