I guess is a British cinderella from WW1 or WW2
The explanation is still valid today, especially the part: it is a government security upon which no interest is payable.
Wonder if they would say that so clearly today.
Support your country, collect stamps.
Is this the reason why US does not allow the commerce of Cuban, Sudanese , North Korean and Iranian stamps?

Is it really illegal to sell Iranian stamps? Even if they have the Shah's picture on them, i.e. are clearly pre-revolution? I brought some back from Iran when I lived there, 1965-67.

I've had Cuban stamp listed on ebay and been shut down. Of course the stupid thing is Cuba doesn't see any of the money.
Come to think of it, neither did I...

I wouldnt be suprised if some stamp dealer from the war era didnt come up with that, if the government did it would be more helpfull to just make the cancel say it. Neat stamp to add to your collection at any rate.

Thanks dsmith426 for finding that info. It completes the story behind this Cinderella.
Ddreisba and James:Yes, I think is still illegal to deal with Iranian and Cuban stamps, but this interdiction may be lifted once the embargo sanctions end.
