Hi,

I just discovered that the stamp is incorrect on the digital color postmark FDC. I am curious if it means anything. Or it is worthless?

Yes, I do: March 21, 2014 should have a 70 cents stamp, not a 66 cents one from 2013.

Did this come from the USPS?

It means either the USPS (not likely) or a Customer (likely) put the 2013 stamp on the envelope and submitted it for the DCP cancellation (likely with a stack of other envelopes). Either way, it is an item of 'curiosity' with minimal value if a buyer could be found.

I ordered it directly from USPS. I did not catch this mistake until tonight when I was doing the inventory of FDCs.

I would say it is more of a curiosity than anything else.

I am with the ones who see this as a curiosity rather than something with additional value for being an "error". My reasoning is that such a cover could have been created by anyone who wanted to do so.
