This is a Bahawarpul TYPE#12288;A8 stamp, Denom 5Rupee with Ultra & Dp Purple color but cannot find in the scott catalog.

Any Guru here can help me to determine the Cat# of this stamp ?

Ken, new colours were issued in 1948. I don't have a catalogue handy, sorry. The 5R was issued in new colours of blue and brown.

It could be Scott #20 (listed as Ultra and Red Brown with perfs listed as 12 X 11.5)
