Does anyone know if Gibbons lists a sideways inverted watermark variety for this stamp? My Scott doesn't, but it usually doesn't give NZ watermark varieties.

Yes, NZ Peace 1˝d SG 669 listed as having a variation - Watermark sideways inverted, at the same minimum value as the normal version, which also has the watermark sideways.

You should try some of the early Sudan air mail watermarks! They are all over the shop: inverted, inverted and reversed, reversed as well as normal. However, they're a bit more pricey than standard CV... :-)
