I was just reading through the February 2015 issue of STAMP magazine. Two things caught my attention: (1) full page ad from the United States Postal Service about NYC 2016 and (2) an ad for for a regional English stamp bourse which mentioned that there was 2 shopping centres nearby "for the ladies". Are not ladies expected at the stamp show also? What about their "hubbies"?
(1) has been running for a few months in several outlets and is good to see, although it would have more impact with better graphic design. And, if the USPS could staff its booth with employees who are also collectors or at least bright and friendly, that would be something. The ones I've encountered at the ASDA shows in New York have seemed, well, tired and uninterested. As for (2) ... There will always be an England ...
While I do not subscribe - subscribing seems to be The Kiss Of Death to reading - I do make a point of grabbing the two free issues of STAMP magazine which seem to be available each year at the ASDA/NY show.
