Quote: Good information. There are about 100 subscriptions to the No-Die-Cut press sheets. Let's say the average press sheet per subscription is 3, and 300 press sheets will be gone immediately.
And of course, if Mystic is part of the subscriptions, and everybody is sure they are, they may get 200 press sheets right away. There is not much left for retail.
You are just making wild guesses on the average per subscription and on how many Mystic subscribed for. |

Great article with many good points, but the USPS might be scratching their heads at collectors too. Why are there so many NDC sheets printed at the 1000-2500 level still sitting in inventory in SFS that likely will be destroyed? Topics might not be the most exciting some might say, but these are still extremely limited quantities relative to say a Bugs Bunny Imperf sheet (Scott 3138). Even on ebay at this time some of these sheets barely sell at face value. Maybe once USPS destroys these lingering NDC sheets and scarcity becomes apparent, issued amounts are reported (eventually), might most collectors kick themselves for not picking up a sheet or two at only face value? |

eyeonwall Quote: which may or may not have press sheets I think that is the big question right now. We will see what they (USPS) do with the Sarah Vaughn issue the end of March. |

I'm curious as to how the Soda Fountain Favorites convertible booklet of 20 will be configured. The banana split stamp looks to be twice as wide as the others. |

Postal Service sales of imperforate uncut press sheets come under fire
That is the headline of the leading story in Linn's Stamp News this week. In the story, Jim Siekermann and I are liberally quoted and our new book, A Guidebook and Checklist to the No-Die-Cut press sheets, is mentioned.
The article, by Linn's Washington correspondent, Bill McAllister, details the problems encountered lately with the Postal Service and their mis-handling of no-die-cut press sheets. Check it out. |

blcjr,
Yes I've seen the pictures of the five designs. But that gives no indication of how they'll be arranged in a convertible booklet, e.g. vertically or horizontally, number of stamps per side, location of the peel strips. |

Would not fit on that sheet - the size of the booklet must be getting bigger?

The picture above is what the Postal Service calls a 'convertible booklet'. You are supposed to take the center strip, peel it off and fold the two halves together so it will fill in your billfold or purse. |
