This top Watertown Excelsior stamp was purchased from the APS Stamp Store for 30% less than Scott value-what a deal, while the bottom Watertown stamp, in better condition, cost few times more than Scotts value. Elliot Perry stated "The usual condition is poor and good copies are to be highly prized. Although it may seem to be such, actually it is no exaggeration to say that a fine copy of the Watertown stamp is fully as rare, or nearly as rare, as any adhesive revenue or postage stamp ever issued anywhere in the world." I hope you enjoy seeing these gems.
