PR2 is listed with brush cancel only and pretty scarce

The lack of color on the stamp in front of Franklins face
makes me wonder if the stamp is forgery also?

Good thing I got it in a bulk trade.
Even if the stamp is genuine, it's altered

Just look with a 5x-10x glass at the bottom where it says "NATIONAL BANK NOTE COMPANY NEW YORK" in small letters. Those letters must be very sharp and clear for it to be genuine.

It's Fake! I got it with a lot of 1st issue revenues including R98,bank checks, springer tax stamps, old dealer pages with boating and auto stamps, etc
so never looked real close at the bottom.I assumed just the cancel was faked.

I messaged him on an ebay auction. We met at my weekend coin/stamp booth.
I purchased a rare book and traded for many better 1st issue revenues plus more.
I will bring the newspaper stamp back to our next trade to show him.
It's a pretty good fake and I am sure he didn't catch it either.
