This 1966 stamp of Poland is from a set of 8, 60 Gr.stamps recognizing the 20th anniversary of nationalized industries. The marginal tab of this stamp would show that it publicizes the 5th Polish Technicians' Conference.  |

On January 2, 2007 Germany issued this stamp (Michel #2582) commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the invention of the rotary engine by German engineer Felix Wankel. From Wikipedia, "The engines became popular with kit car builders, hot rodders, and in light aircraft because of the light weight, compact size, tuning potential and inherently high power-to-weight ratio."  |

In 1955, the Republic of Korea issued a three stamp set commemorating the 50th anniversary of Rotary International. Stamps are of identical design, but are different colors with different values. Shown here is the high value 71 won stamp (sc #215).  |

This June 3, 1962 set of two stamps (S.G. #s 78-9) of Singapore was issued on National Day. The image on the stamps is a cogwheel being rotated around a map of Singapore Island. This represents the role of labor in building a nation.  |
