It's not engraved but I can still feel the printing when I slide the tongs over the stamp, Possibly Typo. The paper is a thicker soft paper (Not Card). Looks laid, but I'm not an expert on paper(Yet!).
The center area is scratched off. Maybe a reverse plate specimen that had the word removed?
Maybe a printer's proof where the plates were reversed?
OR a complete error forgery?

What's interesting is that the Postmark is also reversed and is printed not hand stamped. At the right you can see the postmark stops where the frame line of the stamp ends

The printed Postmark leads me to believe that there must have been many of these made.
This is an old stamp that came from an old 1890's Cigar smelling German stamp album.
I wonder who the forger was?

Waynezach, if you are really interested in that reversed printing you might try and contact the ASNP, the American Society for Netherlands Philately>
