This is listed and illustrated as a 1856 John C. Fremont political campaign stamp in Mark Warda's "Political Campaign Stamps" book, published by Kraus Publications in 1998. He lists a black on pink paper variety at $20-$40 and a black on cream paper variety at $25-$50.
