I find in somewhat amazing the post office could find someone in a big city like New York with no street address and no zip code. You see these old cards and papers addressed like this frequently. So, big brother always knew where you lived! Imagine no outrage about that.

Here are a couple of the 1c Circular Rates in multiples.

Looks like they put whatever they could find on this wrapper but the neat thing about this wrapper piece is the INSUFFICIENTLY PREPAID handstamp at the left.

This 2nd wrapper has 4 x 1c perf 11 3/4 stamps on it that look to be the Early Deep Rose shade - Scott 14b. Due to the perf, it is definitely an early printing.

Here is a different 1c cover mixed with the 2c stamps to make up the 5c domestic rate. A big bonus on this cover is the Misplaced Entry on the 1c (Position 28 - Unitrade 14xi)
