Probably just a piece of paper, but maybe a scuff that I can't quite see. Anyway, the bottom of "R" in "War" has gone AWOL. Scott, Unitrade MR2.

they are a perfect rectangle with a different white background color where is supposed to be the red bottom part.....this is a result of manipulation with photoshop...

I don't think so, Area66. It is the original stamp (see the larger scan). No photoshop manipulation on my end. Are you saying the entire stamp was created with photoshop? I'm thinking it was just some rogue paper, or maybe a big scuff.

I think that it is a donut caused by a piece of loose paper on the plate.
