I am preparing to sell some old stamp lots on ebay and have been looking at similar lots that have been sold to get some idea of what sells and doesn't. Take a look at this Haiti lot that sold for over $90 recently:

OK I gave up. What on earth did this collector use to mount these stamps? I have seen some weird mounting methods but this looks like they affixed three tabs on the page for each stamp then folded them over to hold the stamp. Strange..

What ever type of hinges those are, are cool. Probably very old hingless.

That's a new one for the books. I couldn't say what is going on there.

Looks like the person made their own mounts ,out of clear plastic and used the color dots to lock in the stamps .

Looks like most of the stamps got this treatment. And it went for nearly $100.

Most of the stamps are used so mint never hinged does not seem to be the reason for such strange hinging.

Thanks for posting! Interesting!

I cannot think of a method more time and labor intensive. Also most of the stamps were not all that valuable.

I remember looking at that and contemplating bidding, but couldn't figure out the mount situation.
